Chromecast in Australia

While you can buy a Chromecast in Australia, you cannot download the app for it. You can use it with your PC but for Android users you can't. There is one way around it if you download the APK off something like 4shared or Chrome, but not officially. Any thoughts on this?

You could if you know some one in the us to send your one and if there is a region lock use a vpn on your router.
