The monitor I have is the cheapest 1440p 144hz monitor and looks amazing, if you could afford it I would recommend a ASUS ROG MG278Q.

I have a radeon r9 390. Do you think it would do well at 1440p

I think you should be fine at 50-60 fps in most games, and if you need more fps just tweak some of the settings. You can always upgrade later on if need be, you'll still always have the monitor to use, and trust me 1440p is amazing, like never go back to 1080p amazing.

He is asking for what dollar amount your budget is....people need that as a frame of reference when providing suggestions.

If you just want the cheapest one there is go to newegg or whoever your e-tailer of choice is, browse for them, and then sort by lowest price.

AOC Q2778VQE gets good reviews despite being TN - I'm thinking of selling my LG 34UM67 and grabbing one to play with.

I have a BenQ GW2765HT, which is a 1440p 60Hz IPS monitor. I like it, been doing pretty well with it so far. Performed well with a GTX 970, but a 980Ti/TitanX is a great match for that resolution.
