CPU Overclock; New GPU?

So basiclly im gonna overclock my G3258 @4.4Ghz a bit more (im on a stock cooler right now) so I can keep up (ish) with my GPU upgrade at Christmas time.

 

1. Best Cheap Air Cooler with a max height clearance of 16cm

 

2. Question: GTX 970 or GTX 960, good pair with G3258 @4.8Ghz (all types of games GPU, CPU, intesive, video recording, everything)?

Just use a GTX 960, and keep using the stock cooler, temps are not an issue much on a G3258, finally, you will most likely not hit 4.8 For 24/7

1. I wouldn't know what to recommend

2. either one, depending on the game. Some games play well on dual cores, some REALLY don't. And video recording.. You want more than two cores for that really.

first of all to get it to 80C with a stock cooler alot of people were able to get it higher,

Best cheap air cooler, hyper 212+ (not evo, little better for no cost upgrade, not turbo waste) or evo, havent checked space.

 

any gpu would be good because its not paired with a cpu 10 years old. the 970 will go down in price alot due to 1070 in june, costing as much as a 970 yet more powerful than a 980ti, if you would wait dont go for anything until the 1070 releases.

you might be limited with that Pentium for that purpose

Why not get the GTX 1070 it comes out June 10th. Also you are probably going to want to upgrade your CPU soon. Dual cores are slowly becoming outdated. What motherboard do you have?

Ok you could sell the Pentium and get the i5 4460 and the 1070 when it comes out. That would be plenty of power for games. You can get the CPU pretty cheap over at r/hardwareswap. https://www.reddit.com/r/hardwareswap
