You'll most likely be able to max out BF4 A 50-60 fps, IDK about the other games

Can a single 7970 OC to 1000mhz run any next gen game (BF4, Black Flag, GTA V, ect.) on at least high settings with 4x msaa 60 fps? I have 8gb 1600mhz ram and an i53570k at 4.2 ghz

Not released yet, not released yet, and not announced yet. There is no way to know until they come out and benchmarks are run. Who know, BF4 might have UBER high res textures that we don't know about. (not really, but you get the point)

Already own and am thinking about upgrading to a Hawaii series card.

 

Alright, just wait and check benchmarks.

i think re-makes are like new intel chips, 5-10% difference.

if you get 65fps in gta4 and bf3 im guessing yes, games dont advance that fast as as far as I can tell, people still play skyrim in DX9...
if in doubt oc more (the gpu not cpu), cant say about black flag.

7970 is still a BEAST of a card it should run them easy

That card maxes out the game in alpha state, so you should be able to get 60-80FPS in the final release.

I believe I read somewhere that BF4 is more optimized then Battlefield 3, and if you can run BF3 on Ultra 60fps, then you will be fine for BF4.

From the alpha benchmarks the 7970 faired well in BF4 and since it's alpha the frames could only improve as they optimize it more. Black flag will most likely run as well as AC3 and as for GTA 5 i'm sure you will run that well too it's good looking but not revolutionary looking.

To play BF4 on ULTRA you will definitly need 2 7970s.

In the Gamescom PCs are 2.

And the game runs on ultra.

I think you should watch some benchmarks, what you said is complete garbage.

Ultra with one 7970 on 60+ fps is not possible.

That was pre-Alpha. Absolutely no optimization. The final release + new driver will deliver much higher numbers, 50-60FPS is what I expect. Also your benchmark differs from mine.
