So with the hype trains riding freaking rainbows and shite on these forums regarding nvidia next line of cards, I can't help but wonder if AMD has even said anything regarding an eventual reveal of their next line of cards? Do we have a date or something?

Not really.
the only thing we know is that its targeted at low end and mainstream

not enthusiast or high end

Not tech news.

we hear the hype.. so what. gotta wait until they hit the shelves. if you ask me, a card that is faster than the Titan for around $400 sounds like somebody is trying to put the scare on AMD. if anything comes out at that price for that performance I'll eat that cow patty Jayz2cents had on his video. just sayin'.

Well, we've seen an engineering Polaris sample matching a GTX 950, playing Star Wars Battlefront on Ultra, with a constant 60fps, whilst consuming like one third of the power. This is without driver optimizations etc.

No. Polaris is targeted at that.

No news on VEGA

No, he's right. Polaris will be out by this summer and Vega is slated for Q4 2016/Q1 2017.

We'll get more details about Polaris at Computex (31st of May - 3rd or 4th of June this year) . Could be even official launches of Polaris 10 and 11.

Polaris 10 is mainstream or slightly high end, cards at around or under 300$. Will be with GDDR5x or GDDR5, 256 bit, lots of updated sections in the gpu (4k decoding and encoding in hardware, better hardware decoding units).

I think the chip itself  (the die) has HBM controller built in and if so I hope they'll launch some versions with HBM after Vegas launch. Right now at the beginning hbm memory would just add to the cost, the interposer is expensive (probably something like $10-30$, not to mention extra steps of sending the dies to Amkor for packaging and paying them for it), the memories themselves cost more than GDDR5 or gddr5x... it makes sense to go with GDDR5x and GDDR5 at start, and position it price wise so that older parts will gradually disappear from shelves.

A smaller interposer (basically a rectangle wide enough to fit just one stack of hbm memory or maybe two, one on each side of the gpu would be cheaper) and I could see two stacks of HBM giving 2048 bits of bandwidth and 4 GB of hbm memory (hbm2 memory will be made in 2GB , 4 GB and 8 GB stacks).

Polaris 11 is designed for laptops or tablets and lower end pc video cards (low power, under 60w or on computers power from pci express slot only)... have passively cooled video cards for media centers, half height cards, stuff for itx boards . replace R5 and low end R7 cards with a few versions of this chip..

For example I have a 7770 Ghz edition card (basically a R7 250x) that needs a 6pin pci-e power connector because it uses about 80-100w ... I think this Polaris 11 chip will probably match its performance in around 40-60w
