What should I do? Wait for the non-reference cards or is the reference card good enough?

The GTX 1080 is what I plan on buying. Should I buy on release date, or wait for MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS and other?

wait for benchmarks and non nvidia numbers and go from there thats what im doing atleast id wait and see what team red has to offer as well and who knows when custom pcbs/coolers are gonna roll out.
