Price drop?

Gtx titan x cost like 1k $, and the new 1070 will cost under 400$.

They said 1070 is better than titan X, so you get that performance for 2x lower price.

Why should you buy used 9xx (ti), if you can get new 1070 for under 400$.

Now it makes me sad that I bought my R9 390 for 350$ like 3 months ago :\

i didn't say that i was gonna buy a 980ti. my broke *** is gonna buy (hopefully) a cheap 960 that is under $150. the only games i really play is minecraft, cs:go, and rocket league. to name a few

My GTX 960 will likely hit the market for about $75 when the 1070 starts selling.

So you should have no problem with your goal.

That seems little extreme.

We still don't know the acctual power of 1070 and 1080.

Prices will drop for sure, but I think neither r9 380 or gtx 960 will drop below 100$

It's actually not.

IMO,50% retail is a reasonable asking price for a used GPU. There will be no warranty or anything.

I see a few places where I can buy new 960s for $150 now. In a couple months it will be even lower.

I had planned on buying a 970 this month anyway or maybe SLI another 960 but $379 for a 1070 means I'll wait a few weeks.

The SLI option would have out performed a 970 and almost rival a 980...problem is,my MB is Crossfire only so in addition to $150 for a 960,I'd need at least $125 MB.

That means SLI is nearing the $300 mark...probably exceeding it. So a 970 or SLI 960 set up is about the same price.

This means the extra 6GB frame buffer and better FPS is only $79 or less.
