So I used to have a Rosewill Blackhawk, but I gave it to someone in exchange for their HAF 932 we ordered because it was too big for him.  The problem with the HAF 932 is the PSU mounting.  It sits abot 1 inch above the bottom on a mount that despite having slits in it, reduces air flow to the PSU because it's not a vent.  This is what it looks like: https://www.google.com/search?q=HAF+932+PSU&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=a7JAUqKyAeLC4AO-6YHQDQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=955&dpr=1#facrc=_&imgdii=_&imgrc=sdLza-zdoFgPPM%3A%3BefI-ZGsVl4C6AM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.hardwareheaven.com%252Freviewimages%252Fcooler-master-haf932-advanced%252Fcoolermaster-haf932-advanced_psu-location.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.hardwareheaven.com%252Freviews%252F1215%252Fpg4%252Fcooler-master-haf-932-advanced-case-review-internal.html%3B1024%3B768

Because of this my PSU gets really noisey under load.  I tested another PSU and had the same issues.  So now I am kinda thinking mebbe I should get a new case.  I like the Fractal Design series, the Arc Mini was amazing but I have a regular ATX board.  I would prefer something like the ARC XL R2 with rear SSD mounting and removable HD cages for max airflow.  But it isn't out yet and I'd like something a little smaller than that as well.  Any advice?

My PC: CPU: I7-2600K CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Evo, Mother Board: MSI Z77 Mpower, Ram: 4x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Corsair Vengeance (Black), Case: HAF 932, PSU: CM GX 650 (Upgrading to RM750 soon), SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 120GB SSD, HD:  750GB Seagate 7200 RPM, Optical: Samsung Blu-ray burner, GPU: MSI GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr (Upgrading to an HD R9-290X on launch)

Fractal Midi R2 or the R4.

First is designed for airflow, second for silence.

That metal bit...Can it be removed? Or is the power supply actually sitting on that?

You could always buy little rubber feet and attach them to the case to support the power supply in each corner and remove the metal support which would presumably fix the issue.

Yes it can be removed and you can put some padded tape down for the PSU to rest on.

I have a 932

The HAF 932 is a major dust magnet, so if you have dust issues in your house or the room it's going to be sitting in then be prepared for that.
