There's a lot of work that needs to go into creating a hackintosh, first you'll hardware that'll run and work with Apple OS.

More or less, it's a lot of planning. That's probably the hard part and then trying to get the OS installed (and guides might be slightly out of date and an update caused the guide to not work completely, and it can cause somethings to stop working. So definitely saying there's a lot of work that needs to go into it is kind of an understatement.
