This is a lot better, and only on Amazon France. And most parts are Free Shipping.

I think you should go with i5 and DDR4, FX is an 5yr old CPU, most features are third party.

You're both right, I'm going to update my plan. Thanks

Hi,

I'm going to buy my parts for my new gaming rig (and my first build).

I have 700€, and MSI GTX 950 and a 1366x768 monitor.

CPU : AMD FX8320E Black Edition 140

RAM : Kingston HyperX Savage (2x8go) 76,5

HDD :  Seagate SSHD 1To 75

Keyboard : Spirit of gamer PRO-K2 16

CPU Cooler : Be Quiet Pure Rock 40

PSU : Corsair CX500M 80

Motherboard : MSI 970 Gaming 110

Case : Be Quiet Silent Base 800 Window Silver 148       Corsair Carbide SPEC ALPHA 100€ (edit2)

OS : Windows 10 Home 135€ (edit)

Feel free to ask any question ;)

CPU: cheap i5

CPU Cooler: stock intel cooler or very cheap aftermarket cooler

Motherboard: Cheapest decent one you can find

RAM: Sure, why not?

SSD + HDD: 120GB + 1TB. An SSHD is not worth it.

Case: Not one that will cost more than your CPU

PSU: EVGA b2 500w, probably. IDK pricing in UK.

I'm in the US so I don't UK pricing off the top of my head so I can't come up with a precise parts list, sorry.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

for a budget gaming rig it is a little disconcerting that your most expensive is thecase (thins is coming from a case fanatic) personally i would put a little more money into parts.

For all of you, I'm actually looking for a easy-upgradable PC (futur SLI, watercooling AIO, ...things), that can work for ~8 years (with maintenance).

It would be a waste of money to run dual 950s, don't worry about that, probably something from seasonic, XFX(non XT), higher end corsair, EVGA (G2, GQ)

Mostly you'd want an i5, unless you can return the 950 in which case a 380 4GB would be a way better buy if it's available.

You can cheap out on some things that wont give you better performaance and getting better stuff.

Go only with 8GB, 16GB and a GTX 950 is overkill. A FX8320E with a GTX 950 only needs a 430w, no overclocking no need for expensive cooling. And you're spending a lot on your case, Silverstone, CM and Phanteks have cases that are silent and cheap. And why the 970 Gaming?  A Krait will do the same job with that E CPU.

Also, RAM is only RAM, Savage are the series where Kingston have more effort to do less CAS Latency while maintaining high speeds.

Get a better keyboard, and even a better CPU.

Why is a SSD essential ?

And here I was thinking I could speak this language :P Thanks for the help, I'll make sure to review that stuff.

A 950 isn't bad, just that by the time you go to upgrade (assuming that's in 2 or 3 years which for an 8 year computer seems a reasonable timeframe) there will be a card that performs like a 2x950for the price of that second 950.

CX PSUs are generally not recommended. Corsair's high end stuff is really good, but CX series it very overrated. It's not like they won't work, and if they're significantly cheaper go for them, but the b2, g2, and gs are just better power supplies for comparable costs.

950x2 > 960. 950 and then upgrade to 4gb (estimate) card in the future > 950x2 and if you have more money in a few years you can get a step up instead of locking yourself into getting another 950.

It's not really essential, I had just had enough of tabbing over to a translator and that's the best word I had. SSDs are amazing. Even if you just get a small one for the boot drive it makes the entire system much more snappy. Where a GPU is the main way that performance scales in games and a cpu is the way to render video faster an SSD is pretty much the equivalent for general use. SSD vs HDD is one of the most noticeable differences you will see when browsing the web or working in MS Word or doing pretty mucha any general computer stuff.

Careful with FoxHunter's build.  The RAM speed is not supported by the motherboard, and the power supply is not that great at all.

The RAM is the cheaper 8GB kit it had on PCPP, so running at 2133 MHz won't make any difference than buying a 2133MHz kit. And the PSU, agreed. Updated the PSU.
