Make sure the drive is set to ide or ahci in the bios, depending on which you used to install windows.

Reinstalling may fix it. You could also try reupdating the bios.

Boot in safe mode then run regedit and change the following 2 keys to a value of 0 (zero)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi

This will force Windows to redetect the SATA mode and set itself up according to your new mode settings.

Unplug all drives except your SSD while doing the install, also this is the reason why you shouldn't do BIOS upgrades unless you actually need it to fix something.
