I recently built my gaming pc and lately its been really good but for some games I play such as The culling or rainbow six siege and dying light it will randomly shut down and reset my pc after a minute or so. I really just want to play these games and i have no idea what the cause is. My PC specs are a gtx 980 ti 16gb of ram and a intel i7 4790k CPU

What are the rest of the machine's specs?

What temperatures do your CPU and GPU run at, at idle, and under load?

I'm concerned that your PSU is dying too.

If it's doing a hard reset it's likely power related.

There's probably an issue with your PSU, or maybe even the power in your house if you've noticed problems with any other appliances as well (a UPS would solve this).

Almost as cool as my temps

its not a power problem in my house everything else is fine and it is a hard reset it just turns everything off and turns on seconds later. Its just whenever i run a game that can put my GPU or CPU under load it will do this.

That sounds like a faulty PSU then.

If you have another one you can temporarily replace it with that'd be great for diagnosing it for sure. Otherwise an RMA may be required

Is it possible that the PSU doesn't have enough wattage for My GPU and CPU?

Well you see, your power supply is likely not delivering what it claims to be delivering, and as such is overheating.

It's possible that your power supply isn't capable of delivering what you need, which is what both I and @Benergy appear to suspect.

What wattage is your PSU? Anything under 500 is questionable, 650 would be the comfy spot

Well it depends on the particular unit, if it's an old CX unit, then we can't really expect it to be able to deliver what it's rated for.

I have same problem.

I tested memory, ran prime95, uningine heaven and i had no error.

But if i started a game my pc restart with kernel poer 41 63 error within 1-5 minutes.

I have Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H, i3-4360, 2x4 GB Kingmax memory, Asus R9 270 VGA, Gigabyte Superb E570 GE-E570A-C3 570 W PSU.

Strange.

This concerns me some (from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3605#sp ):

I'd definitely try with a different PSU. Gigabyte aren't too well known for making PSUs because they've made so few and they've probably only made so few because they found that they couldn't make good ones cheaply.

Also, please make your own thread (:
