if i download the os for windows 10 on a usb do i just need a prodeuct key to install on new build? and if so where can buy this?

yes and you can buy windows from just about any store

You would use I believe windows media maker for windows 10 to install on a USB. You can buy a $100 windows key on amazon, etc. I personally bought mine from kinguin.net and bought it for $30, it is a reputable retailer if you watch streamers etc, they advertise it as well. The note that you have to know if you buy the $30 windows 10 key its OEM meaning you wont get help by microsoft (not a big deal never need to ask them for help), and that you cannot move it to another computer (windows is stuck with that motherboard). But you could buy 3product keys+ compared to 1 regular one.
