Choosing a pci-e riser cable

So I wasted a lot of time looking through amazon and other sites for a pci-e 16x riser cable for modding my pc to place my graphics card sideways to display it through the window, so its NOT for mining.

Now I could not find an item, since the reviews either say its burned and shorted out, or they say it work fine. And they weren't enough reviews to begin with.

All I could find is 3M one that is 50cm or 25cm which are too long for my use, not to mention too expensive. So I just want a working one that don't suffer from unexpected crashes and performance drop.

I did however find these 2, but not sure if they would be the same as the crappy ones from amazon.

Your best bet with those two is the shielded one, it's hard to say for the cheap unshielded cables as they are usually a luck of the draw for it it will work effectively. Lian-li makes a pretty good ones also:

ChrisCross, really nice build. But what is the exact extension cable that you used ? Did you notice and crashed or performance issues ? And why does it not post when the

temperature is low ?

And DAMN that one is too damn expensive. And its too long, I need about 15-19 cm cable.

For ones that are that short the the shielded ones do work as it's not as long, but like usual not always a guarantee.
