BIOS and drivers are different things. Drivers are for making mobo features working on OS. BIOS is like firmware for mobo itself. Which is what happens before OS is even loaded.

Getting the latest chipset drivers also with the LAN, sound and other motherboard features would also be good.

HDMI transmits audio and video together so it could either be a the volume on your TV turned all the way down or audio drivers on the computer need to be upgraded. If you are running Windows 10, just make sure you run Windows Update and yes, what people were saying about the BIOS
