You will put too much stress on the resistor used in low noise adapters and you will probably burn them. Use one low noise adapter per fan or get a fan controller

Why don't you just reduce the speed through the bios?

Why don't you just reduce the speed through the bios?

Maybe he has a z77a G45 like me that has terrible onboard fan control.

Yes, but that could mean some fans wont run at all. For two fans its ok, but more could mean that fans don't get enough power. Someone with more electrical experience will have to confirm this. But why not test it if you have splitter and reducers already. Connect them to PSU and have fun.
