Posted April 29, 2016 Get the cheaper card and overclock it yourself. That's the card that will get the best performance. I have the 970 version of that MSI card and it overclocks easily. The gigabyte may look like it has better temps at first glance but it's fan curve is a lot more aggressive resulting it being louder compared to the MSI and Evga cards but this does result in better temps (a few degrees off for a few more decibels of noise). The performance of the cards depends on the clock they boost to which varies between each card so you would want a better binned chip and since @ZetZet talks about Gigabyte chips being better binned then go with the gigabyte card then.
