My keyboard is a Microsoft Wired keyboard 200. When I press a key for a while, I let go, and the key comes up, but it keeps 'mentally' pressing it until I press teh stuck key again

Pls help

Thanks for reading this! Shame that there's nothing here worthwhile for you to read... but you are still reading. Why?

If you have another computer lying around see if it does the same thing. If it still doesn't work, its probably a physical problem with the keyboard. It might get stuck somewhere in the switch (I have no idea how it works, im just guessing). If it does, then its probably a driver thing or a setting

Mentally?

Are you talking about sticky keys? Because you can deactivate that by hitting SHIFT 5 times

Sounds like either the membrane is worn out and not returning to the proper position as it should, or you spilled something sticky on the keyboard. If you feel confident enough I would say take apart the keyboard and see what you can do to either clean/clear the keys, or just get a new keyboard.

Did you spill something on it ? That usually causes a problem with membrane keyboards

Oh, now I understand :P Did you spill anything on it? Try giving it a good clean.

If that doesn't help, it might just be wearing out. Could be time for a new keyboard.
