I have finally achieved my Dream card of a GTX 980 ti super clocked!!

Problem is that when I come out of sleep mode and I play a typical game or sometimes browse the internet I notice that my mouse would stagger or I would lose a large amount of frames to a point where I restart  my comp and it fixes everything. I dont like restarting 3 times everyday. Because of this I thought I might be bottle necking my GPU with my 4690k. The bios for the z97-a just confused me with all of the click down options until I heard about Dual Intelligent Proccessors 5 and ive been trying to run the setup but it just doesnt wanna run which is another problem on its own. Basically what im trying to figure out is why it happens when it comes out of sleep mode? ive tried various fixes over the past few weeks and I havent found imideate fixes. If I am bottle necking my GPU with my CPU is there a guide on where to install this Dual Intelligent POroccessor 5, because i run the setup and it does nothing every time. Highly Appreciate any help or advice any of you have to offer!

a clean install of windows would definitely fix the issue

but before that try removing all GPU drivers with DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

download the the bottom of page

then install the new drivers from either geforce experience or from here

probably more problems

the windows upgrade process is crap

if you want to use windows 10, definitely do a clean install, not an upgrade, its not that hard

  • 2 weeks later...

Alright a bit of an update!!

I did what you said and it seemed to work perfect for a few days. today however i restarted my computer and i went to play overwatch and i ran into the same massive graphics or cpu lag. my mouse was jumping all over, my graphics during the game where as lagy and jumpy as they could be and when i restarted my comp it gave me an error message? I couldnt read it but i know i heard the noise and i saw the icon come up. Thoughts?
