Don't mess with the fan speed unless you want to fry something

The default settings usually have laptops run at max fan speed under high load so doubt there's anything you can do. Envy are also not meant for gaming

I'am thinking about an asus rog gl752 or lenovo y700 with i5 cpu or dell inspiron i7559 .

my main search is getting a pc with an i5 6th gen  and a gtx 960m from a good laptop company with an affordable price .

The GL752VW is good assuming you get the metal-lid version (grey) - the other one is crap

Personally, I'd recommend the Y700

ThinkPads have a fan control software called TPFanControl. Most other manufacturers don't offer a fan control software. However, if the thermal paste is applied properly, most laptops don't need to have their fan levels increased, even under full load.

Except the Y510P's ultra bay - that fan didn't go to 100% even tho the GPU was at 95*C :D

After reading my post again I should probably clarify that I meant fan levels don't need to be increased manually.

I've heard about the toasty Ultrabay graphics. I'm sure there are cases where a bit of extra fan activity wouldn't hurt.
