Noctua Fan NF-S12A Versions

iTonyy

I was looking at the Noctua NF-S12A's and I noticed that there are 3 different versions uln, flx, and pwm,

I've also read that flx performs better than uln

I know what pwm is but not really sure what the others mean, can anyone explain?

The FLX version comes with uln adapters and can run at 1200, 900 or 700 RPM. The ULN version can run at 800 or 600 RPM.

So think of it as FLeXable and Ultra Low Noise edition fans. :)

Between the FLX and ULN your are trading performance (airflow) for very low noise - so pick which suits your needs.
