i wouldnt bother tbh

i would just switch to positive air pressure and observe the temps, as long as its below 80c then it should be fine

positive air pressure should aid it slightly too, opening the side panel is just neutral pressure lol

In what order would you put my fans then? and if the temperatures are still high do you think the bracket from corsair would fit my card because it only mentions support for 'reference' cards, By comparison though my pcb looks similar to the reference pcb.

your card should be the reference card if the cooler if of reference cooler

i suggest 2 intake and 1 exhaust at rear with your rad as exhaust on top

and maintain positive air pressure by spinning the intake fan at higher rpm

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

It's a blower-style cooler but it's a Palit card, this is my card:

And alright, thanks, I'll try that.

I think I've found my answer, the pcb looks identical to the reference pcb in all the images that I could find. I might try cooling with an AIO, at least then it opens the possibility of overclocking as a bonus,

Thanks for the help people, appreciated :)

if you think its worth the $$ then go right ahead :P

also, it's might void your warranty too, just so you know

It will void my warranty but it will also give me enough life in my gpu and some time to save up some $$$$ for the release of pascal :D

you're better off saving the $$$ from not buying the AIO and bracket and spending it on pascal instead lol

but really the gtx 970 should still be fine by itself, dont even need to go to pascal unless u like to stay on the bleeding edge of technology :P

I can't really risk failure of my gpu because then I can't play any games :o and if it fails before pascal and I have to buy another 970 and then a pascal gpu when that's released I'd wish I would of just got some aftermarket cooling to fix it, Plus I can sell my 970 with the AIO and hopefully get some $$$ back then :P

I re-pasted and now I'm at 74c with the fans still in the same configuration (I will put AIO on top when I have time) and without side panel 69c so I think that helped lol

74c on blower cooler is great tbh lol

even my strix gets around that, albeit overclocked

I've just checked and I can't actually put my AIO on top or on the back because my rams are quite high and my block gets in the way when its on the back, I have the Vengeance Pro's and my case isn't that big

So I'm stuck for fan configuration

My setup is:

2xSP120's that I use for my AIO (top intake on the front)

1xStock corsair fan that came with the case that is currently sitting in front of the hard drive bay at the front (bottom intake on the front)

1xAF120 On top (exhaust)

1xAF120 On the back (exhaust)

Is there any way that I can make this better given that I can't move my AIO anywhere else because of space restrictions?

its already as good as it gets i guess, unless you just do push or pull on your rad and try and fit it elsewhere lol

well if the temps are fine then i guess there's no reason to worry bout it, try test load temps and see how high it gets

Yeah that's what I thought, 74 will just have to be good enough :P thanks anyways
