Folding and Boinc on Optimus Enabled Laptops

I just wanted to write a post saying how perfect folding and running Boinc is on laptops with Optimus. It's pretty awesome to set the GPU to always be used since it doesn't slow down the system at all. The GPU is not being used in day to day usage so the windows GUI isn't laggy. It's totally invisible unless you try to load something that uses the dGPU. I have been hammering my dGPU for roughly 6 months 85 percent of the time! It's great. Kind of like having 2 GPU's in your desktop. One for folding and one for games/windows use.

If you use both gpus i would advise to get a cooling pad although they may not help much, as i have used both my nvidia card and the intel hd 4000 for boinc along with all 8 threads running on my laptop. Thing gets pretty toasty blowing out heat like a hairdryer lol, again wouldn't advise running everything but a very nifty feature having Optimus especially while gaming.
