It really depends on your system, but it usually goes on in the BIOS. Another option is just buying a decent CPU cooler, you wont be able to hear it anyways then.

OMG GUYS I JUST WENT INTO THE BIOS FOR THE THING ON CPU CURVES AND WHEN I SET THE TARGET TEMP, I SET IT TO 40 celsius, WITH THE MINIMUM FAN SPEED AD 12.5%

 

IT WAS SO FUCKING QUIET THAY I GOT SCARED AND TURNED MY COMPUTER OFF

 

HELP A POOR SOUL

maybe i shouldent be scared its so quiet tho omg

45°C is a safe temp, so that's no problem. You can check how much you idle in Windows with something like HWMonitor, sometimes they show different temps.

ye, its getting SLIGHTLY loud during gaming, but barely noticable. silent when not gaming
