High-end Processor

Which processor will be the best if I want to use it for : 

 

a. just 4K Gaming or

b. just 4K Video Editing or

c. both 4K Gaming, 4K Video Editing as well as VR Ready

 

Core i7 Skylake / Core i7 Haswell-E (or upcoming Broadwell-E) / Xeon Processors ?

b) i7 5960X but the i7 5820K is better bang for your buck.

2. 5820k

I7 Haswell-E and Brodwell-E is what you want for the video stuff but otherwise any of those is good

a) i7 6700k

b) i7 5820k

c) i7 5820k

For the Gaming choice, maybe the 6700k if you are thinking about overlock the CPU. The 5820k its a better choice but it depends of your budget too. However if you overclock the 5820k, you will get a very good clock and a better performance because its totally unlocked, but it requires a great cooler, because the 5th generation of Processors from Intel, with overlock, consume much energy and the temperature increase a bit more that the other lines of CPUs from them. Obs: if you take the 5820k with overlock try for a Noctua cooler, maybe the NH-D15, that has a premium cooling features, probably the best air-cooler at the moment. If you take the 6700k the Noctua NH-U14s its a very good option. Don't forget to take a Z board if you decide to overlock the Skylake processor and to take a X99 if you choose the 5820k.

If you don't overclock try for Hypex 212x from Cooler Master that has a very nice performance for the price.

For the b) and c) I can't be more specific cause i'm not familiar with it.
