What's next friends!

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

That's actually pretty perfect at first I was thinking a black and red dominated case with white accents. But clean look from the Phantom 410 in a white and blue set up is reall sick! I think ill go with the Phantom 410 instead of the 350D and I've never really used an SSD so what would I save on it just my os?

In that case: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1Hd4G

2 front intake, 1 rear exhaust, 1 for Evo. Remove all other stock fans.

You save your OS and all your programs on the ssd. Your games go on the hdd because they get very little benefit from being on the ssd.

I so I have a semi custom built pc

Rocking a i5-3450

Msi B75 micro ATX board ( got it free )

my cousins old 7850 2gb card

8gigs of kingston hyperx ddr3 ram

CM 212 evo cooler

with a corsair 500W PSU

in a CM storm scout.

Obviously this isn't my ideal build, i was thinking of getting a new case, and shifting all the parts into an Corsair air 540. But I really don't want a Matx board in there so I was thinking an Asus RoG board. I was wondering if anyone would know a good modular power sup that I can get black and red sleeved cables. My vision is a red, black and white scheme so if you anyone knows cool white fans with white leds in them that would be cool to. And thats just my plans for the winter, until I can find a job (only 16 years old)

I'm sorry if this isn't the right part of the forum, but I didn't notice a "upgrade" section soryy if it's in the wrong place!

You could get an MSI G45 Gaming instead and save a couple of bucks, RoG boards aren't worth it in my opinion.

For modular power supply, get something from Seasonic/XFX and sleeve the cables yourself. Get an 80+ Bronze power supply as well since 80+ Gold isn't worth the extra money.

For fans, get some good fans with no LEDs in them and buy some LED strips for your case, it'll look much better.

An SSD is always a good place to start. Modular power supplies are another great option if you plan on building in headroom for future upgrades, which obviously applies here.

Black Friday is coming up relatively soon, so if you want to get anything now it wouldn't hurt to start looking.

Good call on the MSI board, but would I need to upgrade my CPU to run it?

There's a socket 1155 version also so you don't have to. Example http://ncix.com/products/?sku=82416&vpn=Z77A-G45%20Gaming&manufacture=MSI

Right now about 800~ Canadian dollars

Why not get a 350D, nzxt hale psu, and some white fans for a black/white build with blue accents?

Perhaps get a ssd?

western digital 2TB black

Here's what I'm thinking: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/1H0Wi

This is more of a black/blue build more than anything. Fyi, the prolimatech pros have a deeper blue than in the picture. I have them in my own system.

Remove the case stock fans. Replace the stock evo fan with the Gelid and have the other as exhaust in the back.

2 prolimatech's for the front intake.

This should be a near silent config.

If you're looking for more of a white system, I'd recommend a white case in the first place like a source 210 Elite or Phantom 410.

Leave it fan less or better yet, cover up the vents. You want a front intake to back exhaust. Anything else will just disrupt the airflow.
