Stealth based FPS

Hey

 

About January 2015 I got a Far Cry bundle and played through FC3 and loved it. Then I bought FC4 a few months ago and played it for about 35 hours and completed it.

 

Now I have some time for a new game, and I'm looking for something along the same vein. I'm not really a fan of Just Cause (from what I've seen).

 

Thoughts? AAA or indie doesn't matter. Steam is preferred for obvious reasons.

I played one of the Splinter Cells on N64, but that was obviously a while ago, and beyond my memories... From what I have heard, the MGS games have a lot of linking information that i'd miss by jumping into MGS5

Dying Light is Far Cry-like, but it's not stealth.

All you need to know is that if you like the story, then there is a lot more of it available. ;)

Far Cry and Crysis stealth games? :| I mean yes you can try to kill as few people as you can but those are not stealth games. Dishonored, Deus Ex and Thief would be FPS stealth games. I'd recommend Splinter Cell, Velvet Assassin and Hitman, even though they are not FPS games. Also Bioshock...maybe?

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Fallout 3 NV and 4 can be played as stealth. That´s how i did it.
