how do I slow down my computer

I would try opening every application on the computer at the same time and to have a 100 chrome tabs open and you're good to go!

You could just run F@H or a demanding Boinc project at 100% to make it slow for everything else.

Downclock the CPU/GPU and remove any SSDs from the system.

Forget all the malware advice.

Just run crystal disk benchmarks over and over again to keep disk usage at 1000%.

Switch to maxtor hardrive. 

Install a couple of antiviruses and keep them both active

Enable every single startup program there is

Switch on notifications

 

Go to the BIOS: set graphics to integrated only

 

If possible, set max graphics memory to 128 mb

Set usable RAM to the minimum

Set chrome to open 10 tabs at startup and keep it running in the background.

 

I am assuming this is to troll a friend. It hurt me physically to write this but Im just helping a guy out here.

- Remove GPU, use integrated graphics

- Install only 1GB of RAM. Windows 7/8/8.1/10 x64 will boot with 1GB, but be unusably slow due to it swapping all the time

- To enhance the experience even more, underclock the CPU to the lowest possible multiplier.

- Now try to run any sort of application, I guarantee you your PC is gonna freeze and lock up almost immediately and be slow as hell.

 

Have fun, for whatever reason you need your PC slow.
