I have this Gigabyte mobo, but it lacks the control of fans in bios

So far the Gigabytes own (whatever it was called again) control software causes me bsod every time I try to launch it.

I've been using SpeedFan for a while now but it is bit clunky and lacks the interfaces for easy control.

Windows10

X58A-UD3R & i7-920

And if it matters, Maelstrom 240T with original fans.

And just as a bonus question, do lga1366 boards tend to get hot, since this one has pretty toasty heatsinks even in light use?

Speedfan isn't clunky, you can just need to use the advanced settings. Set up a profile.

A lot of fiddling around, I just feel it clunky because it lacks the interfaces for simple adjustments, and yes I have set up fan profiles for the cooler.

Just looking for alternative solution for this:)

First, how much is toasty? Your hand is really inaccurate way to measure things.

As for software, Speedfan is really the only option if you want fan curves. For Gigabytes issue, updating BIOS might fix it. But their software is pretty bad, even with newer versions. There are things like Corsair Link and NZXT CAM, but they both require hardware hub to work.
