I have a m.2 SSD, this is a Samsung 850 Evo 250gb. I don't have anything on the SSD. I want to install windows 10 on it but when it tells me which device to load, there's nothing there. I unplugged all SATA cables and loading windows from a flashdrive. I don't know what to do. I tried looking on the internet but found no luck.

maybe its not in the right file system, try formatting it using command prompt (i heard you can do it without installing windows, dont ask me, ive never tried)

or other computers if you have any that supports m.2

edit: check bios if its detected there

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

if you have 2 m.2 slots on your mobo try swapping just to rule out a dead connector, if not remove and reinstall to see if it starts working. Make sure your bios is up to date and that the drive is shown in the bios, if not and you've done what I've suggested above the drive is dead or your m.2 slot is.

doesn't matter if it's sata or nvme in my experience, nvme is faster though so might as well use it that way if you can get things working. 850 evo is a b&m key m.2 so it should work with any m.2 socket on a commercial board, what mobo do you have?
