force gpu boost?

Is there a way to force the gpu clock cause i've been seeing that in most games my core clock is only running at around 1101 when in some games it boosts to 1430, is there any way to force it so i can get a bit more fps?

Nope, the card knows when it is able to boost.

 

Something is limiting your card preventing it from boosting.

how come it limits itself in say arma but if i start up unigine it will boost?

Arma might be more CPU bound so your GPU has less work to do anyway.

if you think your cpu's core is locked and unable to go above certain clock speed while 99% usage, it might be bugged

you can restart your computer, if that doesnt fix it then re-install the drivers

 

but like hp said, the game might be badly optimized, thus why your gpu dont have to do anything and wont clock higher

but if the gpu usage is pinned at 99% then thats not the case

my cpu stays at 4.4, the gpu core has been like that for a while i just never asked about it.

well if it remains like so even when the gpu usage is pinned at 99%, then its bugged and you can do the procedure i mentioned above

Must just be certain games, cause I opened up gta 5 and it boosted at 1440 the whole time

also wiped drivers and updated them and seems to even boost in games like csgo now, thanks for making me look like a idiot looooooooooooool

This is a pretty common thing with CPU intensive things. I have the same issue with DCS (flight sim), where it's poorly optimized for the GPU and uses only one or two threads of the CPU. Because of that, the GPU doesn't need to work hard at all since the CPU can't even process the extra speed of the GPU if it was boosting to its max. The extra boost performance would be just wasted. So your GPU will boost down. It's pretty smart!
