I say use the Cosmos 1000 as a door stop and put the beige case to use ;) I think overall the beige box will be "original". Guess it really depends on the setup and what not though :)

we'll see; I would like to have another beige box...

It will mostly come down whether or not the case is still there, and whether it supports the motherboard I want to use

Ultimate XP gaming system build log coming soon!  Q8200 // 8GB DDR2 // Asus P5E Deluxe X48 // Asus 4870 DARK KNIGHT X-Fire // Supreme FX sound // BFG Ageia PhysX PCI Co-Processor // AX 860x with Silverstone extensions

You're too retro sometimes lmao

I want to cram that dual PIII beast into a Define XL R2. It will look empty as all fuck, but man will it be nice and quiet and still pretty.

I bet the DDR 400 will be super expensive unless you can find it at Free Geek.

it's plenty cheap if you get it out of pre-built servers. Generally people are just throwing it away...

It's stupid cheap, most of the time. Hell, ECC PC133 1 gig sticks are shockingly cheap. I can grab 4 for 30 bucks (and I probably will, since it will be used in a 2x PIII board used for XP games).
