Custom Cable Sleeving Help.

 

Hi guys i am new here,

I need a little help if some one can help me please i am about to start my custom sleeving but just a bit confused on the pins, do i connect female pins to a female connector and male pins to a male connector its for extension cables.

its kinda like biology, the male pins go into the female connectors and the other side of the cable extension will (should) have more male pins to go into the MOBO/GPU :)

 

They only really fit one way so you shouldn't really be able to make a mistake!

Sorry I have placed that the wrong way around lol! the pins on the MOBO are male and the connectors of the power supply are female connectors that go over the pins, the extentions have one of each and only go on one way though....

 

silly me getting my pins and holes the wrong way around lmao! :S

Yeah i understand what your saying now so the male pins go in to the female connector

Exactly, they won't go in the other way so as I said earlier, you really should find it hard to get it wrong lol! 

 

to make sure start connecting the extensions to the power supply side and then once fitted connect to the motherboard, that way if you try forcing them in your not hurting the motherboard at all :)
