Can i paint my case with bed liner material?

I bought this new-old case last day (Chieftec Bravo BX-01-B-B-SL, to be specific) and its in great condition, even better than my actual case.

But i just got this feeling that it will be scratched at some point in its lifespan, due to my lack of care.

So, i got this idea floating around my head for a while, can i paint my case with bed liner? You know, that polyurethane coating people use to protect truck beds from getting scratched.

I know some guys in town that can do the job, but i'm not sure it will stick or be good in general.

So, can it be done?

Theoretically you could but it is bed liner so it will be a fairly thick coat and may not be the best of finishes. If you want to give it a go I would do a test piece first and prep it similarly to spray painting ensuring parts are clean and properly sanded of scuffed to promote adhesion.

I think spacing would become a big problem cause thats thick stuff and possibly build a static charge
