BUBBLES!

Go to solution Solved by P4LL3R,

If possible, turn down the pump speed. I had something similar with my Alphacool DDC-Pump, which was connected to the power supply. The problem was, that the 12V-Rail delivered about 12,4V which was too much for the pump and so it turned very fast. Now i bought an Aquaero 5 LT and connected it there, now I can control it to whatever speed I want it to. At about 9V ist runs very silent now and the bubbles in the resevoir are gone.

There are bubbles in the GPU reservoir of my PC! This big tornado just shows up in the reservoir. I tried removing the cap and letting it run and rocking it back and forth and trying to add more water but still they don't go away! Please help.

If you just recently filled the loop it would take about a week for all the bubbles to full bleed out, moving it around can help speed that process up. As for the tornado or cyclone what res are you using, is it a pump/res unit?

Will just leaving that loop with the cap off eventually do it. I've had it for at least a week now and the problem has if anything, worsened...

Nice that looks pretty custom, but the main thing is the speed that the water is flowing at back into the res is causing that cyclone, you need to get an anti cyclone tube or change the direct water flows into the res to prevent it from swirling, since it's getting immediately drawn down by the pump in the bottom.

my res's are kinda similar to yours and if I dont keep them COMPLETELY full they do the same exact thing.  I fill them until I get a drop of water or two pushed out when I put the cap on.  You've got to fill them while they're running though, try playing with the speeds to get it full and then turn them back up high

I've tried to fill it while it's running, it overfills immediately. Same when it's not because then it fills back up

you'll probably need to get some anti-cyclone action in there then.  Mine are built in and are actually at the top since I'm using them upside down and I still get some of that if I let my water levels drop.  If the res is actually full then it shouldn't be much of an issue unless you've got air going back into that last bit of tubing before the res as well.

what speed is the pump running at?  does it do the same thing at lower speeds?

I actually have everything running on molex, so it might be at full speed. I shall check that now.
