Help with GTX 970

Go to solution Solved by alexjt11,

*Bump*

Hi,

so I bought a new monitor 2 days ago. I found that it worked using DVI-D for 144hz. I then ordered some longer cables so i could have it where i needed it, and all was good. Everything was working upto today (Sunday). I get my cables today, and setup all my pc, a normal thing for me its not the first time. I then put my pc back in its hole, and turned it on to find no signal. I change my monitor to the correct input. No Signal. At this point fear sets in, and i grab my old monitor and plug it in. No signal. S*%T, i then try a super long hdmi cable worried it was my new cable. No Signal. Super S*%T. I finally got something which said plug the power cables into my 970. Which was a bit of a wtf moment as this was a signal from the 970, saying give it power, when it was all plugged in. I then continue to take it out and put it back in, and nothing. Now, i try my old 660. BOOM! It works on my new monitor with my new cable, and im happy for 5 mins until i get No F*&KING SIGNAL, and I come here with my tail between my legs crapping myself that I need to buy a new graphics card.

I tried using my mobo, but it also had no signal

If you have any ideas, things to try, write them and i will get back to you. Im here for a long time praying one of you will help me!

The annoying thing is, that it was working 20 mins before i restarted it with the new monitor installed and i didn't open the pc at all.

Iam taking it that its my graphics card as the other one worked for 5 mins. I also dont have another pc to check the graphics card on.

This very well could be. But i have found that everything is still lit up. The fans still spin and the leds stay lit. I have just realised that when I plug the cable in it makes the monitor go from orange standby to white on like it has a signal but then it says no signal.
