Hey guys. I was building my first pc and was wondering what ddr4 ram to buy. I'm using an i5 6600 and I want an 8X2 kit. ($75 is my ram budget.)

I was thinking of going for either:

Cosair Vengeance LPX DDR4-2400 ($69.88)

OR

G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-2400 ($66.89)

OR

Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4-2400 ($69.69)

Those are all fine choices that should work for many years without issue.  All also come with good warranties if you should have problems.

I'd buy whichever one you prefer the looks of.

If you are not going to go with Corsair Dominator or G. Skills Trident Z, then from those three choices you have listed, take the Corsair Vengeance.

It's not better than either of the others, but it will have a slightly better resale value later on because of the strength of the Corsair brand.

Otherwise, pick your poison.

I went corsair for mine, for the brand and the looks.

In real life there is no tangible difference between the three, just go Corsair for no window or whichever aesthetic you like best if you do have a windowed case.
