Which HDD?

Zeinone

Hi LTT!

As the title says i want to get a new HDD, and i know the comparison is like apples to apples, but I'm looking for the longest lifespan, the performance doesn't concern me THAT much since I have an SSD. So I'm getting one of these three:

- WD Green 2TB 2 TB 5400rpm 64MB SATA3

- SEAGATE Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm 64MB SATA3

- TOSHIBA Desktop 2TB 7200rpm 64MB SATA3

I was going to get the seagate one for sure but then i just read how unreliable they are and stuff like that so if someone could confirm and tell me which one to get I'd be thankful. I was looking at the WD Blue, but doesn't come (at least in my place) in 2TB.

I'd pick the Toshiba. Have you looked at HGST?

There are none at my place so I'm stuck with these three, and the WD Black but it's too expensive.

Then get the Toshiba.

@Zeinone I would say go with the Toshiba hard drive. I have it and I get pretty fast read and write speeds. Generally the Seagate line of hard drives doesn't last too long due to their QC, and not sure about WD GREEN. Try the Blue series as it is better suited for home use and office use

Toshiba,

WD Blue 2TB drives are just rebranded/relabled WD green drives so...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
