Hi !

I'm planning to change my Phenom II X4 965, I'm looking for the i3-6100 or i3-6320, but there is a huge difference of 44 €.

Do there is a real improvement between these ? noticeable in game ?

Do there is a good AMD CPU for gaming ? I didn't find one.

The games I want to play correctly : Assassin's Creed Unity, The Witcher 3, Blade And Soul.

Thanks for reading me and sorry  for my garbage english. :(

There is not much of a great difference between the i3-6100 and i3-6320.

Anyhow what is your current GPU?

I have a GTX 760 2 Go.

With my current CPU, when i'm in Las Vegas on the crew wild run my fps drop from 60 to 40.

In Assassin's Creed Unity, same, when there is a lot of PNJ around me, my FPS drop under 30.

In Blade And Soul i'm at 60 everywhere, except when i'm with a lof people (PVP Area, 20+ player dongeon party), i can drop to 5 FPS.

That's more the GPU than the CPU honestly

for BnS, its probably the cpu, since it doesnt even use gpu `-` (poorly optimized game)

and it seems like cpu for the other situations too

but don should know better than me lol #donsenpai `-`

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Not sure about BnS but the rest are fine with the CPU (except ACU) - 760 isn't exactly that solid anymore.

well depends on his settings, the 760 should perform like a gtx 950 i presume?

More or less - a 950 can't go above medium settings and maintain 60fps

Here a screenshot while playing The Crew (high setting without AA) in Las Vegas ;

In Blade And Soul the GPU run at 30% or less. And the CPU always around 60-80% (Blade And Soul seem to don't use correctly the 2 last cores).

If you want i can make a screenshot for each game, but it's painfull for me. :(

Do a virus scan - that seems off.

Your Phenom should be performing around the same as an i5 750 (Nahalem) - while that's not exactly new and powerful, it should still be more than capable of handling those games.

I let you scan my list of process without running Chrome and any game. If you find something suspect, please tell me then.

For the GPU i can play in Low Setting, for the CPU i can't do a lot, and i'm having drop in Assassin's Creed and Blade And Soul  from my CPU.

It's a fact. lol

My original question was about i3-6100 and i3-6320, do there is a reason to consider the i3-6320 over the i3-6100 ?

where is the virus please ....png

1 - Run Malwarebytes
2 - ACU and BnS are apprently crappy console ports so nothing you can do there
3 - 6320 is not worth it - go for an i5 4460 or i5 6400 at least

It find 0 malwares.

I really want play them above 30 FPS, 40 if possible, it's enough for my eyes. I don't care about 60.

The i5-6600 will be better on good multi-core game for 60 extra euros.

Otherwise the 6320 still the strongest for the single core perfomance, and not so bad with the hyper threading.

I really don't know. :S

If you change cpus you will need to swap out the mobo and maybe the ram even. I do think the cpu is the bottleneck and not the gpu though.

You might try getting a cooler upgrade and overclocking the cpu.
