Nexus 7 price

After searching for Nexus 7 prices, i was shocked how much more an LTE version costs comparing to wifi. In UK, a whole 100 pounds more! Just for a sim card slot and +16gb? Even the new iphones, but they have increased space only. So do they really cost more to make or is this just to earn more money from people who must have 3g/4g? For me, the wifi version is useless, can't use in school.

It's not just the SIM card, it's software and the receiver (or whatever it's called) + they have to make a profit so I am guessing it costs 50-75$ extra to make

Remember they do have to put a very expensive 4G Unit into the device, and then spend £1000's developing a separate design to fit the antenna in.

well when you think of it to buy a mobile wifi modem, it will cost you about $200. so paying $100 extra for 4g on the nexus is not that much of a stretch. also this was the same with last years 3g version of the nexus 7 so this is not a new price increase.

pretty sure this is not £100 more its £60 which to be fair is a good price for it still under £300 for a quad core tablet with Android 4.3 and a 1080p screen
