[HELP] Choosing a good monitor for casual gaming

Hi everyone, I'm building a "Casual Gaming PC" for my girlfriend, she plays some games like "LoL" "GW2" "Wakfu" and others games like TERA or MMORPG.
I purchased a GeForge GTX 960, and I'm looking for a good Monitor. I think a 144hz 27" it's not really necessary, I mean... something like 1080p would be good, and  23" it's good enough. 
Can you help me choosing a  good LCD monitor or recomend a good brand.

Monitor choices vary a little bit depending on where you live.
