Hi guys i am going to build a new gaming pc but i dont know witch cpu i must get. I want a i5 6600k or a 4690k but i dont know with one is better can someone help me plz

Depends, what games and what GPU? Will anything have to miss out to get the 6600k?

6600k is only worth it if you want better intergrated graphics wich you absolutely should not use if you are going to game on it. And if you want to use DDR4. If you are on a budget use the 4690K

Would you be able to afford a 4790k? or any other 4th gen i7? If that works out the same price as the 6600k, go for that. Otherwise may as well stick with the 4690k to save a little cash.

Why? i7 over Skylake, especially for streaming. Skylake really isn't that much more powerful, and requires ddr4 RAM, and is more expensive.

If you're streaming, grab a Xeon 1231 v3. Basically an i7 4770 without the iGPU.

The CPUs are both ~$245 ...DDR4 is as cheap as DDR3 unless you get the extremely high clocked DDR4.

What he said, should be nice and cheap and you won't need the iGPU, you also won't be able to OC but you won't really need it.

@sjoerd108@Rangaman42 i cant affort an i7 cpu but my gpu isnt realy good richt now and in a year i can buy a 989ti

when i watch benchmarks with the 6600k in about 15 fps better and the price difrends with ddr3 and ddr4 isnt a lot

The price difference between skylake and haswell is still not to much in difference so you aren't saving much by sticking with haswell, and ddr4 is cheaper then ddr3 even now and then, but usually the same price.

My opinion is to go sklake if you plan on upgrading your rig in the next few years because then you wouldn't have to buy new ram.
