Currently I'm using an old old set up I've had for a long time with my mouse and keyboard, the problem is that I really like them both and I've not seen any reason to replace them other than the fact my mouse is now peeling and my keyboard isn't mechanical.

I have a Zboard Merc. - Not changed it because I actually use the butterfly keys a lot and I feel it's comfortable, SteelSeries brought them out and have their own version but If they'd do a fully mechanical version I'd be sold but they don't so any ideas on what to replace this with? Should I just get an gaming pad thing?

Mouse is a Logitec MX 1000 - Wireless I know 6 years later and the battery life is still good not brilliant charges every day now but still practical, it fits my hand perfectly I love the fact it only has 3 buttons on the side, I'm used to it now and the thought of having more has put me off a lot but the thought of having less is a no go. I've use them buttons a lot for gaming. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance. *back to work* >.>

Well if you are still happy with your mouse i dont see any reason to upgrade it. but if you want you could check out the Gx00s series from logitech, best is if you have a local reseller where you can try them out. specifically i think the G500s seems to fit you http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g500s-laser-gaming-mouse

Getting a gaming pad is really a personal preference, many people are fine with just a keyboard. if you want a gaming pad i would personally reccomend the orbweaver or orbweaver stealth. as for a keyboard you could go for something cheap like a k70, but you should go to a local reseller to see if you can test out some keyboards first so you can get a mechanical switch that you like

If you want to keep that Merc feeling and also upgrade to mechanical, the Razer Orbweaver is a good choice. Of course you'd also have to buy a mechanical keyboard so it could get rather expensive. Something like Orbweaver + CM Storm Quickfire Rapid would be a nice combo.

As for the mouse, the new Logitech G602 or even the G700s might be a good choice. They both have a nice ergonomic shape, wireless and plenty of buttons on the side. If you don't need anything "gamery" then there is always the Performance Mouse MX which is pretty much the newest version of your old mouse.

G500s does look nice, have been looking at some Logitech stuff, problem is in the UK PC World is now the only main shop that sells PC parts and they are not exactly gamer friendly in there it's a shop mostly aimed at normal home users and maybe offices. So finding somewhere to try keys and mice is a bit of an issue, but I am considering that G500s.

The G602 video from Linus is actually the reason I posted here, I've just upgraded my system so I thought it was time to upgrade my mouse and keyboard.

Thank you both I will have to Try the Orbweaver stealth for sure it looks pretty good. I just wished someone would make a Merc with mechanical keys then I would be an extremely happy person.

Thanks for the feed back, I will walk around London all day if I have must looking for a shop that sells decent PC hardware.
