Windows Live

Wasn't sure if i should post here or programming but oh well

So, I have a 1tb hard drive I carry, and we can question my reasons later, but I'm hoping to create a 'live windows' drive on it. 

I've read a few articles on it, and pretty much that all work like this

I already have an 8gb partion on the drive that I plan to resize to about 60gb-ish and split to 20 for the boot and the rest for 'system'

I know next to nothing about win-to-usb software

Does it only format the partition or will it format the entire disk? I really don't want to format and entire drive since 1)I dont have it all backed up nor do I hace room to and 2)its finally organized

Anytime you partition a drive it will format/erase it.

I'm aware, but I already have the existing partition that I know I can manipulate since I've done it before and made live linux partitions and not had to format the entire harddrive. I'm wondering if this program will format the selected parts exclusively or the entire harddrive

Oh OK, must have misunderstood your question.

I would say the selected partition, Windows likes to install clean.

Thats my thought, I just went bought a 60gb ide hdd for $10 though so I'll test it on that. If it erases the who drive then the devs of win to use will be significantly behind yumi, lili, and rufus lol
