OK so i posted about buying a Gigabyte 980ti XTreme gaming to replace my Titan X i just sent back to NVIDIA. Now, i'm in the phase of buying a new card.

Since i do not have any graphics cards, i'm using my old EVGA 970 SC in my PC. But now i'm hesitating on the 980ti. I red that 970 can have the same power of a 980ti.

Should i go with my choice of 980ti or 970 sli? Or even 980 sli? (I have a 1500$ CAD budget)

I don't want any ''wait for pascal''.

Thank you

what about fury x?

And it's better to stick to a single card, with SLI/crossfire performance being quite horrible in some titles it's not worth it.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

You... you... you are funny ;P

Nvidia and AMD are like 4 weeks away from massive releases. Now is a stupid time to buy a GPU.

I also echo @Sat1600 's question, which is what exactly are you trying to do that your 970 is struggling with?

Then 980ti is your best option. Other options won't really make much sense.

A 970 should be plenty for that.

I want to go on ultra settings, can ''only'' do high settings with that

Since i'm a big player of Rainbow Six Siege, i want to do ultra mainly on that game, i can only put it a high settings

And you want something better than the 970 that you have I guess that leaves only the 980 ti

Like I said, a GTX 970 should be plenty for that. Are you sure the GPU is the problem? Worth looking at before you drop £500 on trying to solve it.

...so what you're saying is that you want to spend £500 on a GPU that will enable you to load half of the pixels of your display four, eight or sixteen times.

MSAA is ridiculously demanding, for little real benefit. If jaggies are bothering you try FXAA or something. Don't spend such an extreme amount of money just because one of the most demanding forms of Antialiasing causes your gpu to not run at 120 fps any more.
