Hi guys...So I've been having this problem of my PC for several months but I really have no idea what the issue is...Basically I bought my system a little over a  year ago and for as long as I can remember every now and then whenever I use my PC  it would freeze for about a minute and then just return to normal.I don''t have anything in my system overclocked and I've run programs like memtest to check for RAM issues but I'd like to know what are the reasons my 1 year old PC could be freezing and how do I pinpoint the source of the problem?

My Specs

CPU-AMD FX-6100 at 3.3 GHZ

GPU-SAPPHIRE R7 370 2GB DDR5

RAM-TEAM GB DDR3 at 1600Mhz

HDD-TOSHIBA 1TB

MOTHERBOARD-MSI 970A G-43 M

PSU-THERMALTAKE LITEPOWER 550W

Note I bought my GPU and changed my motherboard within the past 6 months and this problem existed from way before so I don't think it's either of them. I suspect it's my harddisk since memtest said my RAMs were alright but I need to know for sure.

Thanks again guys!

I would start with the harddrive as well.

Have you tried defragmenting the harddrive? Bad sectors might be the issue.  A clean install could also selve the issue.

Best way to test is a new install on a new hard drive.

I did reinstall windows 7and defragment my harddrive andnothing changed and yes it's probably a good idea to test a new hard drive
