Arma 3 issue

I recently bought Arma 3 on a complete new Steam account and I was thinking about family sharing it to my main account. Apparently that doesn't work because Bohemia Interactive asked Steam to block that as said here :)
Now I was thinking, I have already downloaded and played the game on that new account, everything works perfect and what not, but I would like to see if it's possible to be able to play from my main account. Would it be harmful if I added that arma3launcher.exe as a non-steam game on my main account / will I be able to play it like that without risking a VAC ban or something similar. Does anybody have any ideas on that? Greatly appreciated! :)

I think you can get your money back on steam if you have only played it for a few hours and don't have it longer than 30 days.

I didn't buy it via Steam...

I guess bad luck than. I think you have to swap the account to play.
