I been trying to build a gaming pc and I'm new into these kinda things, never done it before by myself alone. I'm really confused and need some suggestions about power supply. So these are my specs

Case- thermaltake versa N21

Gpu- msi gtx 970

Motherboard- msi gaming 5

Processor- i5 4690k

Ram- 16 gb ddr3 1600

Kingston 120gb ssd

Wd hard-drive 2tb

Asus dvd drive

Probably gonna have 2 more fans

Cooler Master hyper 212 evo heat sink

The usage probably gonna be over 6 hours.

i need help to choose which power supply will be better for Me.

I only bought case gpu and motherboard, by next week I'm gonna have all the other parts

Why not get the i5 6600K, price differences between skylake and haswell are almost gone now in the US.

And if the Kingston SSD is a V300, look for another one since this one had its NAND replaced and is significantly slower now:

I5 6600k is not supported by gaming 5. Thts what pcpartpicker says I think.

Then get a motherboard that does support it. Haswell is in older platform while Skylake is newer, thus the CPU doesn't actually fit in the older socket of a Gaming 5. On PCPP, just delete the Gaming 5 from your list as well as any RAM, then choose a CPU.

Anyways, the EVGA B2 750W has way more wattage than you need and should be in that price range.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
