Watercooling isn't something you should cheap out on. Do it right or don't do it at all.

Hey, I am a university student and don't have a lot of money but I have been able to price out all my water cooling parts for a custom loop for like 140$ canadian are there any big problem with budget pumps and stuff. I mostly want to tinker with the stuff

don't cheap out on liquid cooling, you are putting super conductive materials near water, do not cheap out.

I'm going to say it again:

DO NOT CHEAP OUT ON CUSTOM LOOP

Now, an AIO CPU cooler for $140 CAD is easy, you can probably get a Corsair H100i GTX

Different PCPartPickers for different countries:

UK-----Italy----Canada-----Spain-----Germany-----Austrailia-----New Zealand-----'Murica-----France-----India

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

I agree with Deadeye. Either you spend enough to get premium parts or you dont water cool.

I'll bite.

Xspc makes the least expensive parts

If you really want to cheap out, at least use expensive parts within the vicinity of your motherboard and cpu.

Get an xspc raystorm (70 dollars)

2x 3/8-5/8 compression fittings (15 dollars)

And about 2m of tubing

Connect 1m of tubing to each port on your cpu cooler, run the tubes outside the case a safe distance.  The go ahead and connect a fishtank pump, water hose and the rest of your parts that you bought at home depot.

Use a bucket as resevoir for best results.  No need for radiator.  Just replace the water occasionally or toss some ice in.

You might wanna look into phobja products. I am using a tube res (looks really good), a pump and a CPU cooler from them and they work really really well. Might not have the chrome high blick factor of other companies but they work really well.
