Please do a show down of Core i7 980/875k vs Core i7 6700k. What are the improvements?

What are the changes, and what are the things I need to know?

I'm working on a project, so I need to know the difference between those processors.

32mn process, needs more power runs hotter, uses DDR3 1066mhz and a max of 24GB. A lot Less instruction sets, less efficient, PCIE 2, 6 cores

 

6700k

14mn process, needs much less power, uses DDR4 2133mhz and a max of 64GB, more instruction sets, way more efficient, PCIE 3, 4 cores

I have seen the specs sheet. I want to know how they perform in real-life tasks, the Benchmark differences, and all the other stuffs that linus do.
